Day 17 and Counting...GOD IS STILL GOOD!

I only have 3 more days lefts and I can't get over how amazing I still feel! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I am so thrilled about the new and improved me, inside and out. God will do great things if you submit your ways to Him, and trust Him to work in your life. I AM TRULY A WITNESS. He never ceases to amaze me.

Don't y'all know that just this time last year, I was in so much pain that I could barely move, and it got increasingly worse as the days and weeks went by? UHHHHH! "When I think about the goodness of Jesus, and all He's done for me, my very soul cries out HALLELUJAH, oh I thank God for SAVING me!" Doctors questioned whether or not I would ever get better, BUT GOD! There was a question about whether or not I would ever be able to work again; I was filling out permanent disability and social security papers y'all, BUT GOD!  Elderly people were walking faster than me and I said to God, whoooo I'm having a selah (think about it) moment y'all...I said to God, "oh how I would be grateful just to be able to walk without pain", and NOW I AM, LOOK AT GOD!

All because He chose to bless little ole me,
Give me the victory,
Heal me and set me free
All because of He...
GOD IS GOOD!

I am a living, breathing, pain-free, walking testimony about how God will heal you, touch you, make you whole, and in control of your own health, just by making a conscious decision and effort to do things better in Him. My first step to healing was stepping out on faith on that 3rd Sunday in December, and standing up when God said to me, "stand up if you want your healing". My 2nd step was doing the detox, and not just doing the detox, but doing it IN FAITH, WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, BELIEVING AND KNOWING THAT GOD WAS GOING TO HEAL ME THROUGH THESE MEANS; HE DID IT Y'ALL AND HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU IF YOU LET HIM.

Please, please, please if you are considering detoxing, don't delay, your healing could be a day away. Schedule yourself for a consultation with April Chapman, a holistic health practitioner, nutritionist, and God-fearing woman, that believes in the body's ability to heal itself naturally (without the help of man-made drugs). Her website is www.basichealthylivingtoday.com.  You will not regret it. However you may regret it if you don't...

I am so blessed and I want you to be as well.
I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Be blessed.

Day 16: Wow, Only 4 Days To Go

Wow! I can't believe that I only have 4 more days left on my 1st detox trip, on my 60 day detoxing journey. Even though initially I was going to go a full 60 days straight, I thank God for April's wisdom, as I am looking more and more forward to sinking my teeth into some Whiting, Salmon, Lobster, Shrimp, Tilapia, Crabcakes, Shrimp, Salmon, Whiting, Salmon, Whiting, Salmon, Salmon, Salmon...oh...I guess I'm getting a little redundant and carried away.

My POOPS seem like they have once again gone rogue, at least they did today.  I went 3 times this morning and I mean it was like I was never going to be able to get up from "the throne". Today was my first day back at work and I was almost late because my doodee was on duty (get it??? LOL- I literally do crack myself up).  I didn't get to do my walk and I was too tired to do ZUMBA, however, I did walk up and down 72 steps, 5 times today, in 4 1/2 inch heels might I add, so I am definitely walked out!

I still feel great, and I'm still getting compliments about how great I look - TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I am also still receiving inquiries about the detox so if you're interested as well, please go to www.basichealthylivingtoday.com and check out April Chapman's website as she explains her obsession and belief in "ALL THINGS NATURAL".   You too can look and feel like you've never looked or felt before.

Well, I am POOPED...literally...get it??? Ha ha ha ha ha.

I will continue to keep you posted as I continue to JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Be blessed.

Day 15: The Compliments Are Flowing

Good evening all, well, what can I say...it was another successful day - GOD IS GOOD!

I am only 5 days away from the completion of my 2nd full body detox, and I must say, I won't complain. I already have my meals planned out, but I'll save that for my blog posts during my week off - with pics of course.  I will follow-up with my blood cleanse which will begin the week of September 9th (I'll give the exact date when the day comes).

Well, it's that time of year again and it's just about time for me to go back to work. I went to my school today to get my classroom and job assignment and I felt like a superstar...almost. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, continued to tell me over and over and over again how amazing I look. It must be true...I must really look as amazing as I feel. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I feel great and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize this.

Of course everyone also wants to know what I've done to look and feel so amazing so this is my opportunity to share with them my little (BIG) secret - APRIL CHAPMAN. You can look and feel as great as we do.

Day 14: JUICING FIASCO

You already know...another successful day and I'm so grateful. However, I recognized that I wasn't drinking enough water, so I increased my water intake and my POOPS increased from 2 to 4 - trust me, it made a difference. I only have 5 more detox days to go and I'm looking forward to a little break.

Ok, I love, love, love, LOVE watermelon but sometimes, I'm not the best at pickin' 'em. Today's watermelon, I believe was juuuuuust right. Take a look for yourself:

The darker the berry (well melon in this case) the sweeter the juice.
You can kind of tell how good it was as I had to take 2 bites out before taking the picture.
 *****************************************************************************************
Now, those of you that have been following my blog know that I have been trying to incorporate carrot juice into my daily routine. Today was no different: I went to Corrado's (I know, I know, I really need to invest in a juicer) and asked for a carrot/apple/parsley juice; 60% carrots and apples, and 40% parsley. First of all, I got a blank stare because, "she no speak eh no ingles", but made the effort to try and help me. Let's just say that I waited for 35 minutes and still didn't end up with what I asked for.
  1. First things first - I asked for 60% carrots and apples, and 40% parsley, as I stated above. It took me about a minute and a half to get this message across and I finally settled on saying, "mucho carrot, mucho apple, un poquito parsley". Now we were cooking with gas; my 2 years of College Spanish came in handy (you'd think I'd know a little bit more than this but hey, this was all I had at the moment).  So she gathered a nice trough and began to cut up all of my requested ingredients. "Lookin' good, lookin' good", I thought until it wasn't...read on...
  2. The next thing that alarmed me was she was set to pour my new juice into a container which contained red stuff in it. I continued to tell her that I wanted her to wash out the pitcher and she tried to explain that the juicer would clean my juice as it juiced...HUH??? I don't want my juice having red stuff in it. After singing this song for about 2 minutes, I couldn't believe what she did next. She took the ENTIRE JUICER apart, piece by piece, took everything to the back, and left me standing out there for about 5 minutes. When she returned, the juicer still wasn't clean and neither was the pitcher, SMH......STRIKE 1
  3. So, the next task was trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again (Humpty Dumpty = juicer). She solicited the help of not 1, not 2, but 4 different workers to help her in this task; the whole time mumbling something Spanish underneath her breath.  (God how I wish I remembered my college Spanish). So a few minutes pass, and she finally gets the juicer back together. But she forgets one of the compartments in the back so leaves me yet again, with no veggies being juiced...STRIKE 1 1/2
  4. Finally she returns from the back and puts the missing piece in its place. "WHOO HOO", I thought, let the juicing begin...WRONG! She has on gloves and proceeds to use this glove to put her hair back TWICE, and clean the area using a dishcloth which looked like it hadn't been washed in years. I politely asked her if she wouldn't mind using another glove...ok, maybe at this point I wasn't as polite as I needed to be - I think I said something like, "do you have gloves? can you put another one on?" I definitely was beginning...beginning...to think and act out of character. It had been 30 minutes and I still didn't have any juice. She looked at me, mumbled some more, and put a new glove on...STRIKE 2
  5. Now it's time to begin juicing...YAYYYYYYY!.........................................NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So I'm getting my mouth ready for some juice. She puts in 1 carrot...gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle, out comes the juice. She puts in some apples...gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle, out comes some more juice. She puts in some parsley...gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle, out comes some parsley juice, we're onto smooth sailing. She puts in another piece of parsley...gurgle gurgle gur spit plomp glomp kerplump errrrrrrrrrrrrr...silence.  She tries it again...silence. She opens up the juicer and begins to scrape out all of my ingredients and throw them into the trash. She presses the button to juice again...silence. She opens the juicer yet again and scrapes out more of my precious ingredients...silence. She calls not 1, not 2, but 4 people once again to come to her rescue. By this time, my patience had run out and I was truly DONE! There was a teeny bit of juice in the pitcher and I asked her if she could pour this into a cup. "One second Mommy". I ask another gentleman if he can just simply ask her to pour this amount into a cup as I had been waiting for 35 minutes and could no longer wait. He says, "wait a moment." He didn't really just say that to me after I had been waiting all of this time did he? I think he did. He must not know...I was getting ready to reach over the counter and pour it into a cup myself but decided against it. So another guy came over so I politely (yes, I said it politely) asked if he could ask her to pour this juice into a cup as I needed to go. He relayed the message, she poured the juice, and I left and I wasn't about to pay for a cotton pickn' thing...STRIKE 1, 2, 3, 4...10! Would you like to see what I waited almost 40 minutes for? See below...

What you see, is what I got...does this look like carrot juice to you? Uhhhh no...
Does it look like 40 minutes worth of juice? Uhhhhh no once again!
I call it FIASCO drink...and it's not even good! SMH (shaking my head) AGAIN.

When I got out into the parking lot, I really had to ask God for forgiveness because, even though I didn't go off, my countenance wasn't reflective of God. I could have truly been a witness of God's long suffering by putting a smile on my face, patiently waiting for the job to be done, and  speaking in a kind and soft tone...STRIKE 100 ON MY PART..."So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death" (Romans 8:1-2) thank You Lord for not treating me the way I sometimes treat others, and for Your new mercies that You grant me daily, as I am so undeserving.

God is yet good despite me and for that I am thankful.

On this lovely note, I pray that all of you have a blessed night and please don't forget to visit April Chapman's site at www.basichealthylivingtoday.com to take the 1st step to reaching your health goal.

I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Day 13: Still Going Great

As I get closer and closer to day 20, I find myself craving more and more different foods; which is funny to me because I was ready to go for 60 days straight on just nuts and berries (joke). I guess now that my body knows that I'm taking a week off, it's preparing my taste buds for what's to come. I will get to eat for Labor Day WHOO HOO, so I'm excited about that and I already know that FISH will be on the menu.

Today was another successful detox day: 2 POOPS, I'm still 130 pounds, I did ZUMBA tonight, and steamed. I noticed that when I did my Peroxide pat, it burned this time around (this has never happened before) and I'm not really sure what to make of it. If April shares any insight to why this may have happened, I will be sure to share it with you.

I had another day with carrot/apple/parsley juice but am fresh out, so will be taking another trip to Corrado's tomorrow to get some more. I really need to invest in a juicer because this is ridiculous. I also need to invest in another blender because I think mine has sung its last song and danced its last jig. I will try to put that contraption back together again, but I'm already keeping my eyes out for some great deals before I go to work, so that I can be fully prepared.

Don't forget to check out April Chapman's page at www.basichealthylivingtoday.com. Those that have tried detoxing without the support have regretted it, and have either ordered the consultation to take them through the rest of the detox, or are detoxing again, and this time with the daily support.
Trust me when I tell you that this is a crucial component to ensuring that it's done successfully - I'm not sure I would have made it through without it.

Well, I guess that's about it for my detoxing experiences. I know...my posts are getting more and more BLAH as I near my Full Body Detox ending but, I'll continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Be blessed.

Day 12: Another Faithful Day

On this 2nd half of my detox journey, things are going well:
  • My POOPS have leveled off to like 2 a day
  • My WEIGHT has remained consistent at 130 pounds
  • I've continued my DAILY WALKS
  • I've continued my 15 MINUTE STEAMS followed by PEROXIDE PATS
As you recall from yesterday, I incorporated more of my carrot/apple/parsley juice and I feel more and more energetic the more I drink it. There hasn't been a change in my eyesight as of yet but this is only day 2, and I plan on drinking some sort of carrot juice combination daily.

Everyone that is currently detoxing has reports of weight loss, more energy, and BREAKOUTS...we know what that means...UGH! But, we will be thankful that those little critters (parasites) are coming out and not staying in. THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE DETOXING, FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON MY BLOG OR VIA FB ABOUT YOUR SUCCESS, SO THAT OTHERS CAN HEAR ALL ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE FROM YOU.
 **********************************************************************************
For those of you that would also like to look and feel great by making a conscious decision to change your lifestyle for optimal health, visit April Chapman's website at www.basichealthylivingtoday.com and read all about what she has to offer. I highly recommend that you take advantage of her consultation services as she offers additional products besides the full body detox, and can steer you onto the right health track for your individual health needs.  She will also design a menu, recipes, and guidance for the duration of the detox, and will put you on the right path to continue living the best quality of life after detoxing.
***********************************************************************************

Well, tonight's post was short, sweet, and to the point. Don't you think?

I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Day 11: Day of a Continued Beginning

Well I am happy to report that today was a MUCH better day, thank You Jesus! I still weigh 130 pounds, I had 3 POOPS, I walked and steamed, and just felt great all day.  My blender is still "resting in pieces", care to see it? I'm able to upload pics today...

Ok, I did wash each piece so they're resting in the strainer as we speak

So, I tried something new today and it was dee-licious. I was walking this morning and felt my head begin to pound. I immediately texted April to find out what a headache indicates. Here was her response:
"When headaches occur the blood is thinning and purifying itself of impurities. Fluid in the head area is being dissolved and pressing against myofacial nerves."

Here's what she recommended that I do to combat them:
"Lots of water. If you had a juicer I'd tell you to drink carrot apple parsley juice or chamomile tea".

So, you know me, I headed immediately to Corrado's juicing/smoothie station and ordered a carrot, apple and parsley juice - 60% carrots and apples, and 40% parsley. It was divine! I really didn't expect it to taste as good as it did. I took a picture of it, care to see it, here it goes:

Carrots and apples

Parsley

Carrot, Apple, and Parsley juice
*I actually went back this evening and had them make me a 1/2 gallon*

After tasting this juice, I began feeling my help - headache was completely gone sips later.
April reminded me that when she drank carrot juice daily and kept other junk out of her system, it repaired her eyesight. I also shared with you all that my mom's eyesight has been repaired as well - she drank carrots daily as well. So, for as many days as I can, I will incorporate some sort of carrot juice in my daily routine. April also shared that parsley helps to cleanse the blood and the beta carotene in the carrots helps with eyesight, as we have proof of.

Please visit April Chapman's site at www.basichealthylivingtoday.com so that you can begin your path of healing as well.

  • I FEEL ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
  • I look amazing (not being conceited but for a long time I couldn't say that I felt this way about myself)
  • I feel amazing (no pain what-so-ever)
  • AND TO TOP OFF AN AMAZING DAY, ONE OF MY FORMER STUDENTS WHO IS ENTERING HIGH-SCHOOL, THAT I TAUGHT WHEN SHE WAS IN 5TH GRADE, ACCEPTED THE LORD JESUS INTO HER LIFE TODAY.
GOD IS TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Be blessed!
