Phantom Sickness Syndrome...BAH HUMBUG!!!

I've often heard that when someone has had a limb or organ amputated, they go through what's referred to as "amputee phantom limb syndrome", where the person will still feel the sensation of that missing limb or organ. Well I refuse to go through what I'm referring to as "phantom sickness syndrome".

I wrote a little chant today and it goes a lil somethin' like thisss:
boom -  tap -  boom -  tap -  boom -  tap -  boom -  tap -  Don't care what it looks like, don't care how I feel, I know I'm healed, I know I'm healed (say it with me)... don't care what it looks like, don't care how I feel, I know I'm healed, I know I'm healed! Yeahhhhhhh!!!!

What you talkin' about Willis?! This is what I'm talkin' about. I've heard that when people have had a limb amputated, there are times that they will "feel" that it's still there but they can clearly see that it's not, and they know that it's not. Well, my body wants me to believe that I'm not healed because of the development of my rash (which, by the way, is going away...thank You Jesus ;-), and because my hands and chest began to hurt. I stood flat-footed in my dining area and declared, "body in the name of Jesus, I command you to get in line...Satan in the name of Jesus, get thee behind me, I am healed!"  I kid you not, IMMEDIATELY... IMMEDIATELY I tell you, the pain ceased.

We have to be careful about our so-called feelings; they change like the wind and we have to stand on what we know that we know that we know that we know and I KNOW that I'm healed, in Jesus' name. Satan and my body wants me to think that because I overdid it on Monday, that I've reversed the healing that God has given me but the devil is a liar and the truth's not in him. He's been trying to make me feel guilty about that but there is therefore yet no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.  We have to be able to stand firm on The Word, like Jesus did when Satan tempted him. Oh yeah...if Satan was bold enough to tempt our mighty God, what makes us think that he won't do the same to us?!

I thank God for victory! There's some other things that I'm dealing with in my family so I've been a little side tracked - it's in these moments that Satan tries to creep his way in but not so. Thank You Lord.

UPDATES ON FELLOW DETOXERS:

  • My mom: She began her 14th day today and is going strong. GET THIS...remember I told you that her eyesight had improved to where she couldn't wear her glasses? Well, the proof is in the pudding...she went to the eye doctor today and they were checking her vision without her glasses. She was able to read all of the letters and the doctor was dumbfounded. He said, "what in the world has happened to your eyes?!" My mom said she just giggled. He then said, "you don't have to wear glasses anymore." IT'S OFFICIAL (even though it was before) but now her doctor has declared that she can see...she can see...praise God, she can see!
  • My principal: Well, today would have been her 17th day but after checking on her today, she said that she wasn't doing too well on the detox due to the many distractions and summer events. She said that she will try again.  That's the one thing with the detox: you have to be mentally, emotionally, and physically ready to complete it. 20 days may not seem like a long time in the scheme of things, but in actuality, it takes a lot of will power. So make sure before you commit to it, that you're able to fully commit to it.
  • My friend Kim: Today is her 4th day and she's doing well. She's been excitedly experimenting with new things like making her own smoothies, trying different types of waters, and just finding her own way through the detox, and making sure to ask A LOT of questions; like I did and am still doing with April LOL.
  • My cousin Ayanna: While she hasn't done the dhealthstore full body detox, she has done other cleanses. Her body feels better but her allergies are still horrendous (which was her reason for trying the detox in the first place). She is going to continue detoxing individual organs so that she can continue to cleanse her body.
  • I went to visit my previous infectious disease doctor today just to say hi, and his staff was astonished with the amount of weight that I've lost. One nurse grabbed a pad and pencil and asked me to write down the information for the detox. I started scribbling down the info while telling them all about it. 2 of them have committed to completing the detox and I can't wait to share in their results. As I've mentioned in previous posts, there are so many people inquiring about the detox and I hope that they commit sooner rather than later, as I firmly believe that the longer they wait, the more delayed their healing will be.
Well, that's all for tonight folks. Oh, before I go, here are some anecdotal notes for me today:
  • I had 2 morning poops
  • I walked 3.2 miles in this 100 degree heat...I thought I was gonna to pass out and that was at 7:30 this morning. It was sweltering out there.
  • I stuck to my fruit, my greens, and added some sauteed shrimp and yellow rice.
  • My allergies are acting up and that's a problem I haven't had in awhile but I'm not gonna worry about it.
Ok, I pray that everyone has a blessed night and just know that whatever it is that you're going through, God is able in all things, He knows and sees all, and trust that He's working it out on your behalf, "and we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them" Romans 8:28.

Be blessed.

Much Better Today

I am happy to report that I did not repeat the mistakes that I made yesterday, and I'm determined to keep my body in balance as I love the way I look, and more importantly, I love the way I feel, and I don't want to jeopardize that in any way, shape, or form.

I still need to find my way in terms of preparing foods that are tasty and that won't set me back health wise. That is my next assignment.  I've seen great "raw" recipes on line so I'm going to try and incorporate a new dish as often as possible.

Guess what, guess what, guess what?! I went to my first ZUMBA class tonight and let me tell you...it was GREAT yet intense and I loved it! If I could afford to go to a class everyday, I would. I guess I will look into purchasing Zumba DVDs so that I can do them in the comfort of my home, as often as I'd like to do it. Talk about a good sweat? I was exhausted when I left that studio. It was a whole hour of straight working fun. I figure I could walk in the morning and Zumba in the evening.

I received a message today informing me that not one, not two, but THREE MORE PEOPLE just ordered the full body detox and will begin next week. This makes a total of 4 people that I know that are currently detoxing, 5 that I know that have already ordered it and are just waiting to begin, and countless others that have seriously inquired. I hate to think about where I would be right now had I not detoxed. I'm thankful that I don't have to think about it because God orchestrated that to be so. Now I need to focus on not going backwards and doing what is necessary to maintain my healthiness.

Well, that's it for now but I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Be blessed.

Hard Head = Soft Behind

Today is my first official day after the detox and I have made some mistakes that I won't repeat, and I hope that you won't make. But let me go over some anecdotal notes first:

  • POOP - I had 2 poops today (yayyyyyy).
  • WALK - I walked a total of 3.3 miles today.
  • STEAM - I actually had a desire to steam after my walk so I did for 15 minutes and followed it by my Peroxide pat.
Now for my hard-headed news. Growing up, I've always had to learn lessons the hard way and you would think that in my adult years, I would choose to do right first but nope, I'm still choosing to learn lessons the hard way. So let me tell you all about it.  Most of y'all remember me talking about the delicious food that I couldn't wait to eat when the detox was over, well, today I ate it...BIG, BIG, BIG MISTAKE and here's why:
  1. My husband and I went to Ruby Tuesday's and I ordered a Tropical fruit punch, followed by a salad with nuts, green peppers, tomatoes, and (here it comes) SHREDDED CHEESE...a BIG NO-NO. Why? Because as April has been getting me to realize, dairy = mucus and mucus = inflammation. You would think that having this knowledge would be enough but nope, it wasn't. So next I ordered buffalo shrimp - my husband said, "Tye, I don't understand. You've been detoxing all this time, trying to release toxins out of your body so why would you eat fried buffalo shrimp when you know it's not good for you?!". My response was, "look, I don't care what you say, I'm eating my buffalo shrimp." BIG MISTAKE - why you ask? Because fried isn't good for you and I can only imagine the sodium and other non-nutritious stuff that was in the buffalo sauce. But then I ordered (yeah, I overdid it BIG TIME) the Salmon Florentine (Salmon with Asparagus and Parmesan cheese) and a baked potato with butter, sour cream, and...yup, more shredded cheese. When I read back over this list, I am shaking my head at myself. This is like self-sabotage ;-(.  Within 5-10 minutes of me eating all of this cheese, I kid you not, I started to snort - which is a sound that comes from my throat and nose where I suck up all of the mucus and then swallow it...nasty right? I have not done this since before I started the detox and prior to the detox, I had done it for years whenever I have eaten tomato or dairy based products. MY KNEE ALSO BEGAN TO HURT PRETTY BADLY...inflammation. That was enough of a wake-up call for me to know that I cannot eat cheese anymore, and also can't eat fried, or spicy foods.
  2. Later this evening I had dinner with my God-sister, God-father, and God-mother and ate Brussel sprouts for the first time, brown rice, and vegan ham. I'm like, yes, this is a healthy meal that will erase what I ate earlier...BIG MISTAKE AGAIN. While the food was delicious (my God-sis did her thing), I believe the salt in the vegan ham added with the salt from my hearty meal earlier in the day, was too much and guess what happened next?????? MY FEET BEGAN TO SWELL. I have not had swollen feet since being sick and I certainly don't intend to start now. So what did I do to combat this? WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER. I am still drinking water as I type. I need to flush out everything that was disagreeable to my balanced body. I am also going to drink my activated charcoal tonight so hopefully a lot of toxins will be released in the morning.
Why oh why oh why would I choose to ingest the foods that I did today? Because I wanted what I wanted and am hard headed. Don't worry, I've learned my lesson and it WON'T happen again. I'm glad that I have made the decision to detox every season but I don't want to reverse everything that I've done over the last 40 days, all because I want to enjoy a dish or two.

Don't get me wrong, I began my day with healthy eating...liquid water, followed by "all natural" orange juice, followed by Naked's Red Machine smoothie (which I learned today really isn't that good for you but it's better than some drinks), herbal tea and pistachios. I now need to continue my good habits and nix the old, unhealthy ones.

My rash hasn't gone anywhere yet, in fact, I took an updated pic. I still feel great, with the exception of swollen feet, knee pain, and snorting due to my own hard-headedness.  The swelling in my feet has actually gone down considerably with all of this water that I'm drinking so I thank God for that.

All of those that are detoxing are experiencing results and are glad that they have jumped on board. A lot of others are still inquiring and I hope that they make the decision to detox as well.

Despite my bad choices today, I thank God for how great I still feel and look, and will make sure that I do everything in my power to continue on this balanced and healthy course.

I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING.

Be blessed.

THIS IS IT!!! My last day of detox is here ;-)

Well, well, well, after anticipating this long-awaited day to come, it is here...maintenant...finito...it has arrived!  I will officially be completed with my blood cleanse when I take my activated charcoal tonight, and won't detox again until next season; I'm going to try do the full body detox followed by the blood cleanse (40 total days) every season in order to keep my body free of toxins.

Here are some anecdotal notes for the present and going forward:

  • POOP: I had 3 poops today, and I think I figured out why I didn't have any 2 days ago...I made a mistake and took one formula twice, and neglected to take one, which may have disrupted my flow in some way.
  • EXERCISE: I have continued on my exercise track and will continue to walk at least 3 miles daily, and will incorporate other regiments such as Zumba (which I will do this Tuesday) and aerobics.
  • STEAM/MASK: I've been slacking on the steaming but will continue to do the Moroccan Red Clay face mask once a week and will follow that with steaming and a Peroxide face pat.
  • FOOD: I will continue to incorporate fruits and veggies in my daily diet but will also add wild-caught fish to the mix.  I will also continue to drink spring water, natural fruit juice, fruit smoothies, and herbal tea.
  • ACTIVATED CHARCOAL: I will continue to use the activated charcoal at bedtime as it's still a good toxin removal, whether detoxing or not.
Here is an update on my rash:
- Unfortunately, it has gotten bigger BUT it does not look like the typical rashes that I have been accustomed to getting. But I will continue to take pics and update you on its status.  Here are some pics that I took today.

Alright!!! Many of you have been awaiting pics that show my weight loss over the course of my detox. I'm going to include JUST 5 pictures:
  1. the first will be a sideways shot from December 2011 when I was still on steroids as well as 11 other medications.
  2. the second will be a frontal shot from December 2011(same date and time as pic #1).
  3. the third will be from April 2012 after I was weaned off of steroids and had begun to come off of other medications as well, and had begun dropping some of the weight.
  4. the fourth was a pic from today that I took with someone else, but I cropped her out so that you could see a side view of myself.
  5. the fifth will be a full-body shot from today (it's not a close-up but will still be a good comparison).
Here goes nothing...

WOW RIGHT????? My good God...He is indeed able in ALL THINGS. Just looking at these pics is a clear depiction of just how far God has brought me and I give Him all of the honor, the glory, and the praise. TO GOD BE ALL OF THE GLORY!

Ok, enough about me, here are some updates on fellow detoxers:
  • My friend Kimberly began the 1st day of her detox (capsules)TODAY and so far so good.
  • My mom began her 11th day (liquid detox) and she was happy to report that she's still not wearing her glasses, that she's had to wear since she was a little girl, in order to see near. She only wears her reading glasses for reading, which she never had to do very often anyway.  She also is happy to report that my father saw her in a dress today and said, "wow, that dress is too big...looks like what you're doing is actually working." For my father to recognize that she's losing weight, it MUST be working. She also has received several compliments about the weight that she's lost. She also walks for at least 30 minutes daily. KUDOS MOM!!!
  • My principal began her 14th day (liquid detox) today and I will check on her tomorrow to see what progress she's had since I saw her last Wednesday.
  • Several others are inquiring, and a few have actually purchased their detox and are just awaiting the right time (when mentally prepared, after vacation, etc.)
Look...I don't get any money from "advertising" about the full body detox from www.dhealthstore.com. I am just thankful to God that my friend Kim posted my blog on her Facebook page, and that her friend April reached out to me, so that God could bring forth my healing in this way, and now I have been able to share my story with you. My story will continue as God is not through with me yet.

Here are my plans for the near future:

- I am looking forward to not having to wake up at 7:00am in order to take my first formula.

- I hope to weigh myself tomorrow so that I can clearly see how many pounds I've lost on the blood cleanse because I can tell you that I've gone probably from a size 8 to a size 4; most of my clothing is now too big when just a few months ago, I had the opposite problem.

- I hope to go to my primary care physician and have her to rerun ALL of my bloodwork as I'm still looking for that tangible proof even though how I look and feel is enough.

- I'm eating dinner with my God-sister and God-mother tomorrow, and they are vegetarian/vegan so I can't wait to see what dinner will consist of.

- Before dinner with my family, I am treating my husband to my long-awaited Ruby Tuesday's Salmon Florentine and Shrimp as I've been craving it for awhile.  In fact, I signed up for their "Ruby Connected" and have a coupon for buy one entree and get the other FREE...FREE! Which means, a great meal for 2 for the cost of 1 - I can dig it ;-)

God is great and if He did it for me, He will surely do it for you. You just have to take your 1st step out on faith and believe that God can do it.  I believe that this detox is the first step for many of you out there and I'm willing to pray with you and for you for the strength to make it through. Trust me, I can speak from experience that this was one of the best decisions that I could have made, and you can have the same impact.

I'll continue to post as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING (mine and yours).

Be blessed.

2 days left...it's getting harder and harder

I began the day with a 5 mile walk (my legs are so sore) and then came home, took a shower, did some laundry and did some running around. What I didn't do is Poop; not one poop and that is so not like me. I also didn't steam - it's been getting harder and harder to steam; my neck and back starts to hurt as I'm trying to get comfortable.  Oh my goodness, and the closer I get to Monday, the harder it is getting. I'm not gonna even share just how hard it's actually getting as I'm gonna try and focus on the fact that I'm still being disciplined and still have the victory ;-)

Yes, the rash is still there. It doesn't itch as much as yesterday and it hasn't enlarged. I took more pics just to compare from yesterday to today. I will continue to take pics until it disappears.

It will pass soon

God is so faithful and I'm going to end tonight's post on that note.

Be blessed.

A Rash Has Surfaced...now the TRUE test begins

Well, well, well, today was a pretty decent detox day - I had 2 morning poops, took all of my formulas, walked 4.3 miles and this is where the trouble began. Everyone who truly knows me knows that I love to be in nature; I love to explore nature trails and just observe all of God's wonder. Sometimes this habit is my worst enemy. While I walked literally a few steps into a wooded area, I felt myself being bitten over and over again, and so I high-tailed it outta there...unfortunately, it was too late. I now have a red bump on my left ankle, which probably wouldn't seem like a big deal to anyone else but for me, this has always been how my autoimmune disease...I'm sorry, I'm NOT CLAIMING IT AS MINE ANYMORE so I will say that this is how the sickness would begin. It begins as what appears to be a mosquito bite, itches like one too, but continues to grow and grow, is accompanied by swelling and eventually joint pain. God has brought me too far for me to even begin to think that this is going to be the same outcome. However, I took 2 pics of the rash so that you can see the size and location, and I'm going to continue to chart it everyday and see what happens. I am of the mindset that this rash is just going to take its course like a regular mosquito bite and go away. This will be my true test of healing and WHEN I ONCE AGAIN PROVE TO BE COMPLETELY HEALED, I will show you the spot where the rash USED to be, and will proclaim my healing the more.

This too shall pass...

  • On a better note, my friend Kim received her full body detox (capsules) today and will begin her detox journey this Sunday. I can't wait to see and hear all about her results.
  • My mom is continuing on her detox journey (liquid) and today marks her 8th day BUT she just texted me and stated that she needs to order the capsules; the capsules are more potent and show better results.
  • My principal is continuing to go strong on her detox journey (liquid) as well, and today marks her 11th day.
  • My God-mother didn't receive the e-mail that I sent her directly from the www.dhealthstore.com website, but I texted her the site and how to view the details of the detox. Her, my God-father, younger God-sister, and God-aunt will begin as a family.
  • My cousin and her family (a family of 6) is continuing to eat raw fruits and veggies and will begin a liquid juicing fast (I believe I have that info right) soon.
  • There are still countless others that have been asking me about the detox and I know that there is a lot more healing in store.
Today marks my 37th total day detoxing and let me tell you, I am almost finished and am so glad about it. Just wait until Monday...ooh I can't wait!  I will tell you all about my good eatin'.

Well folks, that's about it. I will continue to keep you posted as I JOURNAL THROUGH HEALING; mine and the accounts of others.

Be blessed.

Not just HEARING but SEEING results...4 days left

I can't believe that I only have 4 days left of my blood cleanse and I am so glad about it.  God has not only allowed me to HEAR about others' progress due to either detoxing themselves or hearing about the detox, but allowed me to SEE it with my own eyes. Here are some updates:

  • I went to my school (job) today to visit my principal and secretaries. My principal began her 11th day of detox today and the outfit that she was wearing was hanging off of her. Her face is thinner and she LOOKED more vibrant. She is doing the liquid detox but has begun to see results and so can I.
  • My secretaries made me come around to their desk, pulled my shirt in tightly so that they could SEE my figure, and was amazed at how much more weight I've lost since they last saw me on June 21st and are inquiring about the detox themselves.
  • Today was one of our God-daughter's 7th birthday and we went over to visit the family. They were making fruit smoothies and eating raw veggies. The entire family (which is a family of 6) have begun a lifestyle of eating raw fruits and veggies, and are taking a united stand on eating healthier as a unit.  My cousin has been following my blog, as well as doing her own research on how to incorporate raw fruits and veggies into their daily routine. I can't wait to celebrate their success as a family.
  • This same family that was mentioned in the last bullet last saw me a few months ago when I was still rather chunky and "drugged" up on pharmaceutical drugs. When I tell you that my God-daughter, her 3 sisters, and her father (my cousin) barely recognized me because my figure was so distorted, that's what I mean. When they saw me today, it was like old times...they commented that this was the Tyeshia that they remembered, told me how great I looked, and asked me about the detox and how much energy I had.  I assured them that I felt better now then I've EVER felt and that I am energized from the moment that I wake up until I decide to turn in for the night.
I still have some family and friends that are suffering from chronic illnesses and are willing to do the detox, but are not sure if they're able to. One of my cousins just received a report from a test result and now has to have an endoscopy done. She was so frustrated that she wouldn't be able to begin the detox until July 24th and I couldn't help but to think, "why can't she begin now?" I see this as a direct infiltration of her healing and am praying that she will begin the detox sooner rather than later.

I spoke with another cousin yesterday that has been suffering in her body for the last 8 years, is on googobs of medication, and is in so much pain that it's literally unbearable at times...sound familiar? Everything that I was explaining about my sickness since 2005, she could relate to. She is so eager to detox but believes that she can't stop taking her medications cold-turkey because she has been taking them for the last 2 years, they are narcotics, and the last time she stopped taking drugs cold-turkey, her body almost went into shock. I asked her to e-mail me a list of drugs that she's currently on and how long she's been on them, along with a synopsis of what she's been experiencing over the last 8 years, so that I can send it to April in order to see what she thinks is her best course of action.  She also has done chemotherapy in the past for a duration of 5 years (this was about 2 years ago) and I'm not sure if under her circumstances detoxing will be the best option. I believe that God WILL heal her but want to direct her on a path that will most benefit her situation.

One of my secretaries is also enthused about the idea of being able to detox but is on a medication by the name of Lupron (I'm not sure of the spelling), and doesn't think that she can come off of it due to her condition. I explained to her that I came off of ALL  of my medications despite my symptoms and did the detox, and she can see that it was one of the best decisions that I could have made.

Look, I know the fear that wells up when you consider going against all of the doctors and stepping out in a direction that you've never, ever considered before. When I took my step-of-faith on the 3rd Sunday in December, and my leap of faith on May 30th, this was the beginning of my healthy and healed living and I am so thankful that I did. Imagine if I had given into my fear? You wouldn't be reading this blog today, and I wouldn't be healed. GOD DID IT FOR ME AND HE'S THE SAME POWERFUL GOD THAT IS WILLING AND ABLE TO DO IT FOR YOU. STEP OUT ON FAITH AND BEGIN LIVING THE HEALTHY AND HEALED FULL LIFE THAT GOD DESIRES YOU TO LIVE.

Be blessed.
